  1. I wouldnt say Henderson didnt have an answer for it. Both teams were trading blows and Celina was up at the half. Then Henderson's Monster Brown and Diamante Wright took over. Wright rushed for 293 yards and 3 touchdowns. Game seemed somewhat close at the half. Didnt end up that way 64-35.
  2. Van finally played a team with a lot of speed and the outcome wasnt in their favor. Same scenario in 2012 when they had a good season and everyone was all about Van. Then they played Henderson who had way more speed than they did and it ended 48-21. I havnt understood the state ranking for Van this year. Their biggest win was over Lindale who was 3-7 on the season.
  3. Looks like a Disrict 9 sweep in round 1 of the playoffs.
  4. No. 8 and No. 9 are both sophomores and that's exciting. Henderson played almost the entire game without our leading rusher, almost at 1,000 yards on the season. The coaches limited his playing time last night due to a banged up shoulder. It's nice to have a good running back to fall back on in No. 8.
  5. CH QB should have thrown it away... Bad thinking. Bulldogs punting.
  6. Yeah so 2 CH players just for cleaned up on that run... They will feel that tomorrow.
  7. So how bad will it make CH look when yall get beat by a team that has only had 4A - 3A competition??
  8. Maybe so but I think Henderson's defense is better. CH gave up 36 points to Palestine and 20 points to Brownsboro. 36 points to Palestine and 20 to Brownsboro is a lot of points. Henderson hasnt given up 36 points in 3 district games combined.
  9. Palestine with the upset and first win of the season. Palestine has the players, they just havnt clicked. If palestine would just line up and pound the ball they would be dangerous. They have a good running back and a good running QB. I think things start coming together tomorrow night.
  10. I agree non-district schdules do matter and are important and tougher schedules do show your team how to deal with adverisity. I was meaning you cant determine who will win this game based on who played the tougher non-district schedule. Thats why I said the non-distrct schdule dosnt matter. Im thinking Castles scheduled Hendersons non-district games anticipating Henderson would not be very strong this year and next. I bet he wished he could beef it up some next year but we are stuck with the same games.
  11. I thought this forum was about this Friday?? 2010 and 2011 are over. Henderson beat CH in 2010. CH beat Alvarado in 2011. Thats done and over. Both teams got trophies, time to move on. Both teams are playing at a high level right now. Dosnt matter who played who in non-district and who had the tougher schedule. CH might have played a tougher schedule but Henderson was able to build confidence up in the sophomores in their non-district. It's gona be a battle either way. Im just glad its Henderson and CH playing in this game for the top teams in district........ and not Carthage and Kilgore.
