Way to hang in there DKBearFan, I have been away for a few days and have not been here to help defend the Bears. I tried to read through the 8 pages of mostly bull, but I got bored. I am excited to be playing Pewitt. Statistically speaking, the game is a mismatch, but I have never seen a score reported: Statistic 28 Opponent 0 If anyone out there thinks the Bears will roll over, think again, the season long hibernation may be over!

The Bears came into this season with a high ranking and high fan expectations, thus far they have lived up to neither. Pewitt is and should be a prohibitive favorite , De Kalb has not played up to their potential in any game this season. I have not missed a De Kalb game in 27 years and I can't figure out what is going on, but I fully expect the Bears to show up Friday night and give Pewitt a tough go. I will be away until Wednesday with no internet access, but I will be back to talk smack and give some futher insight on this game.

Maybe Hooks will do-it to Pewitt

My thinking: 9--Boyd 10-Pilot Point 11-Gunter 12- Prairiland 13- Winnsboro 14-Edgewood 15-Godley 16-Troy

Some of us are in hibernation, just starting to wake-up and stretch our legs.

This is how I see it: Harleton -20 @ Elysian Fields Union Grove -2 @ Sabine Winona +1 @ New Diana Harmony -17 @ White Oak

Hope the JV game was not an indication of things to come. NB won 20-16, but the part that bothered me the most was the QB-Center exchange of snaps. Way too many fumbled or bobbled snaps, even for first game. I hope the timing and ball protection is a little better tonight. GO BEARS.

According to my records, the teams will be meeting for the 74th consecutive year, starting in 1934. They have played each other 78 times with De Kalb holding a 40-36-2 edge.

I mostly agree with your analysis, have watched both teams and poor tackling could make for an interesting game. I believe turn-overs will play a key part in this game. De Kalb 27 NB 21

The list looks pretty good, I would replace Paul Pewitt and Kerens with White Oak and Caddo Mills -
I Have 1. Corsicana Mildred 2. Kerens 3. Edgewood 4. Blooming Grove 5. Rice 6. Malakoff 7. Scurry-Rosser

For what it's worth, Red Raiders are ranked # 16 in DCTF. Impressive to start the season.
