I have noticed and even messaged a fellow Carthage fan theorizing about it. lol I also believe that if Carthage ends up losing the championship game he may reveal himself. Or hint at it at the least.

I was not one of those who touted LH as inferior at any point. I think the coaches who were present for those losses and the fans of the program are sleeping just fine at night and enjoying winning 8 titles with more likely to come in the near future.

No, statistically and factually they have lost more times in the playoffs where they could have eventually played Carthage than they have beaten Carthage. One of those things is more than the other. 8 rings and counting.

LH knows more about how not to make it far enough to play Carthage than they do about playing and beating Carthage

I think if both teams play a clean game on offense, Carthage defense gets more stops and Carthage wins. I think last week shows that if Carthage turns the ball over, then they are absolutely beatable. And Wimberly would be good enough to capitalize if given those opportunities.

I almost hate it for GR, because I feel like you could tell in the way they played and how pumped they were during the game and when they took the lead and it felt like they were moments away from winning.. you could tell how bad they wanted it and how proud they were to be playing as well as they did on this stage. I hope that Carthage can win and convincingly enough that at the very least people can theorize that if it weren’t for Carthage this GR team would have likely taken home the Title.

Yea. As usual that Sirius clown was wrong with virtually every word that comes out of his mouth/every word that he types. I saw several players on the video broadcast consoling GR players and shaking hands, giving hugs, etc. Also, 13 GR QB seemed to be very cool on the losing end as well. He was walking up to Carthage players shaking hands and congratulating immediately, instead of breaking down on the field (which I wouldn’t even be mad at because it’s very painful to lose that close a game and in the semifinal no less).

Besides Carthage, which other game do you most want to see?

Finally got to watch the whole game. My thoughts are: -GR QB was an excellent runner and thrower. -GR skill players were very sure handed and caught pretty much everything the QB delivered. -GR o-line worked hard -Carthage offense left a lot of points on the field, but that’s what happens when you don’t take care of the ball. Great testament to the Carthage team to still dig in, show resolve and get the win despite losing the turnover battle. -Carthage defense was in position to shut down the QB runs so many times but one young player on the d-line (I won’t say who, doesn’t matter, game is over and Carthage still won) continuously target the RB even though there were other guys there to take him, allowing QB to run free.

Carthage is more banged up than I’d like to see, but I still like them to pull together and get number 9. I do think this will be a closer one than other state championship wins Carthage has had in recent years.

Well I won’t get to watch this one until tomorrow hopefully, but just going off of the commentary here and what has been described to me, I think BIG props are deserved to Glen Rose. Sounds like they played their hearts out and also sounds like Hudson White was absolutely a baller. As a Carthage fan, you hate to see the ball turnover that much, but very proud of they way they persevered and found a way to win. I hope GR was the 2nd best team in the state! And that Wimberly is 3rd at best. Lol

I think this is going to be another very productive running game for Carthage

See above response. Also, you are not even winning at the game you are playing. It changes nothing. What myself and other posters have always referred to is what has been allowed by the starting unit and what has been allowed after they have gone out. Just like its factual that the final team totals is what you referred to, it's also factual that what was allowed by the starting unit is MUCH MUCH less. The two things are not mutually exclusive. So your not making much of a point of anything.
