flanker
After watching the scores from the past month I've come to the conclusion that 10 3A will be a more competitive district in basketball than it was in football. Paris beats Van Alystene by 1 point. Anna beat North Lamar by around 25. My top four are: Paris Van Alystene Anna North Lamar Bonham and Commerce do not appear to be very competitive. I rate Paris on top because of athletes but feel Van Alystene, Anna, or North Lamar will be capable of beating them. I'd like to see how others feel about this district. I think you probably have the top 3 correct but think they could fall out in any order. Might be a toss up.

flanker
I believe Anna and North Lamar play tonight. We will see how that goes. I heard Paris beat Commerce 100-39 tonight. Anyone know how the other games in district came out?
flukeshot
DMN shows Anna 51 - 39 over NL. I'll have to take back what I said though, it was apparently just a 3 point game after 3. Uhh ... DMN also shows Van Alstyne over Bonham 51-39. That's a coincidence. Hmm.
flanker
I don't believe NL is likely to be any more competitive than Bonham and Commerce. I think NL will be hang tough against Paris next week just because it's that big a rivalary when they play. I can't see them beating them however. Paris and Anna next Friday should be a good one! Guest bleeds
Paris walks away with 10-3A. The rest will fall into some random order of placing.

flukeshot
So what was the score of Paris - NL last night? The Dallas Morning News has Anna upsetting Van Alstyne.
theblueguy
Paris boys won 47-33. North Lamar led 10-9 after the first quarter, then trailed by 10 points, cut it back to a one-point deficit and then fell victim to a Wildcats run near the middle of the second half. Paris girls won 61-55 in double overtime.
Pops
Paris girls won 61-55 in double overtime. If NL and Paris win out, how will the final district standings end up?
theblueguy
With one game left to play, it's: Paris (8-1) North Lamar (7-2) Commerce (5-3 entering last night) Both Paris and NL play the bottom teams of the district on Tuesday so both should win their final game. flanker
So if Paris boys beat Anna and Bonham at home next week they will clinch before having to play Van Alystene again.
flukeshot
So if Paris boys beat Anna and Bonham at home next week they will clinch before having to play Van Alystene again. I'll go out on a limb and say they will do it, too.
theblueguy
Yeah, Paris will be the District 10-3A champ before then for sure. That loss to Anna screwed Van Alstyne over big time.
flanker
The Paris News never puts any district standings in the paper. How do the teams stand as for as the third place seeding? I'm sure Anna is currently third but how far ahead of Bonham are they?
