I realize that the music is the most important thing, but I still prefer owning a tangible ALBUM -- complete with liner notes and cover art

There is just something soulless to me about simply "downloading"...

No downloads here boys! I really enjoy collecting and listening to the real originals.

Here are a couple of my favorites along with some pictures of my 70s classic rock entertainment room. My room is complete with vintage late 70s/early 80s solid state/analog stereo system. I've had all the components restored to factory spec.

Every Texan should be required to listen to Nasty Dogs and Funky Kings, from ZZ Top's 1974 Fandango LP at least once before they die!

Speakers:

  1. Norman Labs 331, circa 1983 (on the stands)
  2. Boston Acoustics A100, circa 1980

Amp: Technics SU-8600, circa 1976

Tuner: Technics ST-8600, circa 1976 (not shown)

Equalizer: Sansui SE-7, circa 1980

Turntable: Kenwood KD-5070 w/ Grado "Prestige" series cartridge, circa 1978

PS:

Hope to be going to Ft. Worth this weekend to pick up a pair of vintage JBL L36 speakers. Wife is going to shoot me when she find out I'm buying more stuff!

I'm THINKING :hmm: of putting in Abba's Number Ones and making sure I remember ALL the RIGHT words so that when I go to see Mama Mia, I'll be singing the correct lyrics (Don't you just hate it when people sing out loud and don't know the right words????) ... I'll fit right in with all of those people who talk out loud, talk on their cell phones, and tell the story line because they saw the movie last week and want to "share" what they know.

It's going to be soooooo much fun!!!!! :bounce:
