congrats to lake travis for completely dominating this game in all aspects. and congrats to gilbert for breaking harrell's record. i said i would thank lake travis if they beat us. so here it is. good season lobos.

congratulations gilbert for a great season!!!! wow gatorade player of the year!!! man we should just not show up against this guy, the way he throws a spiral is like the way chuck norris roundhouse kicks people...outstanding!! i seriously dont think that we can hang with garrett, man those awards are crazy!! while those awards are impressive, they do not intimidate, look at the comparable award in college football the heisman. in recent years the winner usually hasn't won the national championship, tebow wasn't in it, reggie got beat. youre going to have to do better than a gatorade player of the year award to intimidate longview. you very well could beat us and if yall do i will be one of the first to congratulate you, because its a trophy well deserved. but you know thats why we play the games.

everyone knows how good lake travis is and knows how good gilbert is, he wouldn't be verbaled to texas if he wasn't amazing at throwing the ball. are we just supposed to lay down because the mighty lake travis cavaliers are coming to town? do you want us to just let garret throw the ball to wide open receivers? yes our secondary and defense has been suspect the past couple of games, no one has said its been amazing. but get off of lake travis for pulling their starters in the 3rd quarter. who have they played? and on the 4a should be 5a excuse, we can whine all we want to but were in 4a so we have to play the game were given. 4a has been competitive for us, teams want to be the team to knock off longview, they think we came down all cocky and that we thought the state trophy should be handed to us. Sure some of the games have not been close at all. But its been a long road this team has grown up, and i as many of lobonation does has faith in us to beat lake travis. I believe we can and will win this game. But no one is going to be shocked if lake travis wins. But it seems some people arent giving us a chance just because of the blowout factor and thats complete bull :censored:

Redman, you can make it as personal as you want, it doesn't matter your team is lacing up those basketball shoes and playing with a different kind of ball now. Clearly as Longviewfan85 stated you are pretty dumb. No sense of angles or math. I'm somewhat worried you could misconstrue the score of this game in Midway's favor with your addition. Cowboydan you are in the same boat. No wonder you turned out a cowboy dan, the allure of brokeback mountain and your disability in math class. That being said it was a good game, midway did play hard and never gave up and had we not gone for two to win i think longview would be the one playing basketball right now. PS. why dont you quit about the call? there are pictures up all over the internet that show clearly the ball touching the goalline? Not to mention Longview got screwed multiple times by the refs throughout the game. Man up and take the loss, yeah it was a tough game and yeah your team played one hell of a game. I know I would be mad if the game ended up on that call being the other way around but one way or another your season is over. (this post was directed at cowboydan, but after i read some other posts should be directed at all midway fans.)

and longview hasn't been that prolific in passing all season? we are still here and playing midway this week. and carter a joke? granted they haven't been the same team they were in recent times they are still something to deal with in the playoffs. and so what if we should be in 5a? were in 4a right now, its not like we asked to be here. we would have preferred to be there. and you never know if we would be playing basketball right now. it seems to me midway is the same way as longview, they have a good running game and a decent passing game. and you can talk all you want to about shutting us down with your secondary as you can tell we dont pass that much it matters what you do in the trenches. longview will win this game, it wont be as dominant as some of you think, midway is the real deal and is obviously a "team". Longview 35 Midway 28. In a game where longview runs to score and midway throws, i just dont think the rb is going to be able to get things going against our defense. but i could be wrong.

he didn't say they were going to win state. but why say were going to state and not mean win? no one says were going to state with the thought of well we will make it to state but lose the game.

pine tree did play a good game, i think lack of coaching has been big for their poor record, they do have talent. But not throwing the ball to sparkman was really crazy. He has hands and the size, he also had a huge advantage on the guy covering him. that being said longview played a terrible game. we fumbled a lot, we couldnt pass, i have no clue why we strayed away from the run. pt played with a lot of heart, but eventually the talent and the coaching took over. all in all the worst game longview has played this year, the margin of defeat doesn't show how close the game was. i was very disappointed in the level of play longview had. they didnt really seem into the game. but maybe with a coaching change pt will be able to compete and have a better record in district. the bye week cant come sooner. good game pt, you showed everyone you have heart and can play with anyone.

SS one of the weaker teams in district? if anything hallsville is one of the weaker teams in district, down there with pine tree. I know T High rolled on SS but their passing game is still one of the best I've witnessed in awhile. You've got your work cut out for you with T High and SS the next two weeks...my prediction is a nice 0-2 stretch.

hallsville did beat us... the score doesn't indicate it, but it was a moral victory. they played their hearts out, and look at the result a loss by two scores. thats ok though. You can call us arrogant all you want to, the only reason we really get on here and talk trash is usually in response to someone bashing longview. I seem to recall at the beginning of the season, Longview wasn't predicted to win the district by a lot of people. And in the sulphur springs week, not only fans were talking trash but players were to. But whenever we pointed out what longview could do good, its like we shouldn't be able to speak it. We know we have no effect on the teams play as someone said above and hell we know we could get bit by the playoff bug like we have done a lot here recently. were just enjoying success, like sulphur springs was earlier this year.

the rivalry big? haha not at all. maybe between hallsville and pt the rivalry is big. the only reason i see this being "big" is because the pt players are confident they can win. as a matter of fact i received probably 5 text messages this week from friends of the players saying how they have told them this week will be different and that the world will see how the real pine tree will play. maybe we'll be shocked....highly doubtful. Lobos2004, i dont feel predicting longview to win by more than 10 would be out of the question...especially after the past two weeks. I'm sorry but longview by at least 21... I almost got ran over in the parking lot leaving the sulphur springs game. That doesn't apply to anything just thought I'd throw that out there.

my sophomore year i parked on the loop on the grass right beside the hs parking lots. also you could park down the street at chili's or mcallister's and walk up, its not too far of a walk plus you don't have to deal with the bad drivers in parking lots after the game.

scoop, i want to ask you who has sulphur springs played? granted lufkin is down but they could still smash on rider, who yall barely beat. whitehouse is probably youre only decent team to beat. allen is what #5 in the state in 5a only loss being to #1 trinity, and that was a game. and so texas high is average? we ll see what you say after ya ll play them. evangel i can understand that one.

its obvious both teams are talking trash. i know im talking trash but its in response to what people stated before me. granted i have been off the wall in my calling of someone an idiot but frankly i cant see how you people can predict ss over longview in this game. i know its good to have support for your team, but in all honesty how do you think yall can beat us? what are yall going to do to stop our running game, to run over our defense, to pass on our defense? yes we did lose to allen 21-7 but they are the #5 team in 5a. i guess everyone is right we will see come friday. i know it was posted earlier but i forgot to go back before i posted this, is ss adding seats for this game?
