Yes, it's time. Chapel Hill is scrimmaging this week and has their first game next Tuesday and their first tournament next Friday. Chisum, DK, Prairiland, and Rivercrest are already out of the football playoffs and so won't presumably be too far behind. Schedules for Cooper, DK, and MV are incomplete as they've been lazy getting their skeds up. I mean I can understand for Cooper, they won't be playing for a while, but the other two ... get those schedules up!

Tiger roster is up on MaxPreps

one 6-6 and three 6-5's

Decauter tourney is the first weekend in December; AAA is supposed to be one of the other teams in that tourney.

Would like to see the Tigers draw AAA; may be an L, but it would be a great test

Brief and to the point. I like it.

I assume Clarksville will be everyone's preseason favorite. Quinton Beaty and Gary Moore are pretty big losses but the other playoff teams were hurt by graduation too. Chapel Hill have, as I recall, two starters and 1 bench player back. Rivercrest has Jamal Curtis but lost Moore, Savage, and Eudy. Chisum has that one guard back who scored 20-something on the Tigers in the game at Chisum but their big dude and their three point shooter graduated.

I guess I would like to complain about Clarksville's schedule now. One non-district home game? And it's the very first one, the one most in danger of being cancelled due to the football playoffs. We're at Whitewright again? They not have a bus?

Fluke,

That trip to Whitewright is due to a road game being cancelled during the football playoffs last year. It is my understanding that we owe them one.

Okay, I didn't remember the return game being cancelled last year. I rescind that part of my objection.

It is tough with all the games being on the road. Schedule doesn't have a lot of room due to tourneys and district play starting before Christmas break.

I'm sure it is difficult to talk someone into driving to Clarksville for a "L".

AMEN!! It's basketball time! I can already hear the sneakers on the floor! Bring 'em out!! We'll have some, maybe even several non district losses, but the non- district schedule we play year in and year out is the only way you get better. The only "challenge" I see us having in district is the road game at Chapel Hill.

+1. It's always been hard for us to get more than 1 or 2 non-district games at home each year. But, that's a good thing in my eyes when people DON'T want to play at your house!

I believe the Rebels scrimmage this past Saturday...

Also heard that they were predicted to get 4th place..... Any idea where you can see the predictions?

Im assuming Clarksville, Chapel Hill, not sure whos 3

I think everyone except DeKalb and Cooper are in the mix for 3 and 4..............

Mt. Vernon joins the rest of civilized society by posting a schedule! Now I just need De Kalb and Cooper.

Games scheduled this week (and as always early season games should be considered tentative at best):

11/12

-----------

Sulphur Bluff @ Chapel Hill

11/14

-----------

Chisum @ Paris

Avery @ De Kalb

11/15

-----------

Rains @ Mt. Vernon

11/14-16

-----------

Chapel Hill @ New Summerfield Tournament

Confirmed this evening.. Clarksville will play AAA in the Decauter tourney, Dec 5th at 8:30. Last game of the evening. Hopefully the brackets will be up on the Clarksville web site tomorrow.

They're up, and you're right, Clarksville vs Triple A that Thursday night, and then the next day the Tigers play 4A Wichita Falls Rider and then 5A Denton Ryan.

Between that, the Whataburger, the Princeton tournament to a lesser extent, and the Dec 31 trip to Gainesville to play preseason #4 in 3A Burkburnett, we're going to know what Clarksville is made of soon enough. Love those tough schedules.

If this pre district schedule doesn't test the Tigers, it will be up to DeKalb and Rivercrest the week before Christmas.

Seriously, Tiger coaches have not been afraid to schedule some tough early competition. Major reason for all the postseason success over the past 25 or so years.
