Longview opened on Monday with a 3-1 win over Brook Hill. Lady Lobos will play in the Tournament of Champions in Duncanville starting Thursday.

Pine Tree was swept by Grace Community, 3-0, on Tuesday.

Hallsville opened with a 3-2 win over Nacogdoches Central Heights.

Texas High swept Atlanta 3-0.

Mount Pleasant fell to Sulphur Springs, 3-1.

Whitehouse swept Gilmer, 3-0, before falling to Tyler Legacy, 3-2.

Tyler lost to Kilgore, 3-2.

And as said above, Marshall swept Elyisan Fields, 3-0.

Lady Lobos now sit at 6-2 on the season after a 4-1 weekend in Duncanville, before splitting a pair of matches last night against Pleasant Grove and White Oak.

Longview had Thursday's games cancelled before defeating Ferris, Dallas Sunset and West Mesquite on Thursday to move into the Gold Bracket of the Tournament of Champions. Lady Lobos knocked off Waxahachie Life before being defeated by eventual runner ups North Forney in the second round.

Pleasant Grove swept the Lady Lobos in two close games yesterday before Longview did the same to White Oak to close the night out.

Longview will host Spring Hill next week before jumping into tournament action at the Forney Invitational.

Culture continues to improve. I still feel like we need to take things to the next level (see: Lady hoops), but I do like the progress we are making.

Volleyball records always seem to be extremely difficult to keep tabs on but going to try my best.

Hallsville in the Garland Tournament:
Defeated Rowlett, El Paso Pebble Hills and Frisco Emerson.
Lost to Frisco, Frisco Lone Star and Frisco Independence.

Marshall in Tyler ISD Invitational:
Defeated Chapel Hill, Mineola, Unknown and Center.
Lost to Sanger, Van, Bullard, Princeton, and Glimer.

Mount Pleasant in Tyler ISD Invitational:
Lost to Gilmer, Texas High, Rusk, Jackonsville, Beckville. Lost 3 games on Friday.

Pine Tree in Tyler ISD Invitational:
Defeated Kilgore, Mineola, Pittsburg and Chapel Hill.
Lost to Pleasant Grove, Mineola, Tyler Legacy, North Lamar and Troup.

Texas High in Tyler ISD Invitational:
Defeated Rusk, Mount Pleasant, Gilmer, Edgewood, Van, Troup and Lindale.
Lost to Leander Glenn and Sanger.

Tyler in Tyler ISD Invitational:
Defeated Jacksonville, Chapel Hill, Center and New Boston.
Lost to North Lamar, Princeton, Pleasant Grove, Bullard and Brownsboro.

Whitehouse in the Mansfield Tournament:
Defeated Mansfield Timberview, Carrollton Creekview and Richland.
Lost to Waco Midway, Amarillo West Plains, Canyon, Keller Timber Creek and Midlothian Heritage.

Last night:
Hallsville defeated Henderson (3-0) and lost to Lufkin (3-2) last night to sit at 5-4 on the year.
Longview is 6-2 after a 1-1 night against White Oak and Pleasant Grove last night.
Marshall lost to Gilmer (3-1) to drop to 4-6.
Mount Pleasant lost to Atlanta (3-0) to drop to 0-10.
Pine Tree played Van (result unknown). Lady Pirates are 4-7 without that result.
Texas High defeated North Lamar, 3-2, to improve to 10-2 on the year.
Tyler dropped to 4-7 with a 3-1 loss to Bullard.
Whitehouse improved to 6-6 with a 3-0 win over Corsicana and a 3-1 win over Lindale last night.

Hallsville is dominating the district with a 2 game lead for first palce over WH, Longview, and Texas High.

There's a three way tie for third.  Whitehouse has beat Longview, but lost to Texas High.  Longview has beat Texas High, but lost to Whitehouse.  Texas High has beat Whitehouse, but lost to Longview.

Marshall is currently on the outside looking in by a single game.

Yeah....I was able to find the score from Friday this afternoon.  
Newspaper coverage is pitiful for all sports these days.  Volleyball is.....yikes.

Luckily I think coaches are pretty faithful to post score SOMEWHERE online if you're willing to look for it.

Ladycats lead District 15-5A, with Whitehouse a close second

Hallsville remains undefeated in District 15-5A play after beating Longview 3-1 and Tyler 3-0 this week.

Whitehouse sits second in the district standings after wins over Texas High 3-0 and Longview-Pine Tree 3-0 this week.

Longview improved to third in district with a 3-0 sweep over Texas High on Thursday.

Marshall picked up a 3-1 district win over Mount Pleasant earlier this week.

In Tuesday's 15-5A action, Hallsville defeated Longview 3-1. Whitehouse shut out Texas High 3-0. Tyler outlasted Marshall 3-2, and Mount Pleasant beat Longview-Pine Tree 3-1.

Hallsville (9-0) leads the district standings, followed by Whitehouse in second at 7-2. Longview sits third at 6-3 in the district. Rounding out the league are Texas High (5-4), Marshall (4-5), Tyler (3-6), Longview-Pine Tree (1-8), and Mount Pleasant (1-8).
