Carthage did not win their district, so they will not be playing a warm-up game. Good luck to SH girls over Carthage

onetogo
:flowers: Sackem - thank you for all these posts that you've done during the season. You have been the best source for basketball scores and I really really do appreciate it. Seems our local paper doesn't get the information it should be getting - and if they do get it they certainly don't bother posting it in the on line version. You've done a lot of hard work and I really wanted to say thanks so much!! :notworthy:

sackem
:flowers: Sackem - thank you for all these posts that you've done during the season. :notworthy: Thanks but I can not help but put a little personal opinion in from time to time but I am not a reporter. But please allow me to vent on my one sore spot. Score Keepers who will not post on score board who fouled and the number of fouls. Reasons for not doing it. 1. Lazy or do not take pride in their work. 2. Just not capable to figure it out 3. Time Pace just too fast for them, Can post last one during a time out. After 7 fouls it takes a few min. to shoot free shot so anytime doesn't have to be instant also on shooting foul, time given for shooting. 4. Gives a chance to put foul on wrong person. It is sometimes hard to know who the ref calls the foul on. If it is posted on score board it doesn't leave any question. I know no score keeper would intentionally do it. Putting it on the score board takes away the question. 5. Score board is broke, bubs burned out and the maintence crew didn't know it was basketball season. last night they were not even able to keep up with the number of time outs left. A school no longer in Tatum's district once kept a baby under score table, needless to say they were unable to keep up. but I think they were guilty of #4. Home fans should really demand that the scoreboards are kept right if they have the place on them unless they feel they their score keepers are capable of #4 and condone it

Sackem, if you make it to Bullard tonight you will see a few changes from the last time. You can actually enjoy food and beverage in the bleachers. It's amazing how many more drinks they sell now. Who woulda thunk it? We also have more than 6 rows of visitors seating. Our scoreboard operator also does an excellent job of posting the fouls. You might not even recognize the place. Now if they($$) could just find their way over to the baseball complex and try to keep up, we might have a total facility. Hopefully, there will be a place to sit once the season starts. VBfan915
Congrats to Tatum and good luck on Thursday. It was a good game by the Tatum girls. Huntington did not adjust to the pressure. There was not a girl over 5'10" on the court. Robinson was there scouting the game. Good luck to the Lady Eagles Thursday!

You are right. Bullard has a real nice gym. Plenty of fan friendly seats. Concessions in the stands. The problems that the extra congestion and crowd in concession area could lead to, over rides a little trash on the floor. Not the extra drinks sold. But you'll even have a custodian on duty to take care of that. But I had seen the gym earlier this season when the Bullard Girls just out classed us. Hats off to scoreboard operator good job. It's not so hard for some one who is smart in the first place. Its schools who force someone who doesn't want to be there in the first place. Think they are not getting paid enough and are only going to do just what they can get by with, and the local fans will allow. Even thought you had a good student section. They did a good job except when they booed the visiting team when they were introduced. That was classless. But I did like their school spirit and support of the home team otherwise. Just wished we could have made a few more lay-ups and charity shots. It took the whole Bullard team to beat us. They played hard and it was a real good game. Maybe we will have a better % on shots and beat you at a neutral site. Anyone who wants to see a good basketball game shouldn't miss this one.
