  1. Daingerfield and Hooks have met 6 times in the playoffs. The first meeting was in 1959, the last was in 1999. The Tigers are 4-1-1 in those games (DF advanced on penetrations in the 1960 contest). With the exception of 1996, all games were in the Bi-District round. 1959 DF 28 HK 12 1960 DF 14 HK 14 - DF advances on penetrations 1966 DF 10 HK 0 1996 DF 20 HK 12 - Area Round 1998 DF 18 HK 7 1999 DF 14 HK 27
  2. Your memory is a little fuzzy. Daingerfield beat Hooks 18-7, in Daingerfield, in the bi-district round in ‘98. The district title was decided 2 weeks earlier in the 9th game of the season when the Tigers took a 0-0 game into OT with Linden-Kildare. First play of OT, Montoya Brown took it 25 yards for the only score and Daingerfield wins 6-0. Back to the Hooks game, they flipped a coin to decide who would host after a neutral site couldn’t be agreed on in the bi-district round in 1996, with Hooks winning the toss. The caveat was the next time the two met in the playoffs, the game would be played in Daingerfield. That came in ‘98. It was a hard fought game but I’d hardly say Hooks was the better team. Two evenly matched teams that saw the Tigers come out on top.
  3. I'm guessing he is referring to the district we are in?
  4. No, it has nothing to do with who you are referring to. This is in reference to someone that used to be affiliated with DLSISD. Not a coach or former player. I'll just leave it at that. They know who they are and so do we
  5. You are 100% correct. Daingerfield was turned in as well. And we have a good idea who it was. They think they are slick but we do appreciate them and their vague posts on social media. I'm just not sure why they want to come watch our Tigers when they are disgruntled. Stay home or go watch someone else.
  6. Daingerfield Lady Tigers will play Gladewater Monday night at 6 in Pine Tree.
  7. It’s all good. The only thing wrong is their record. I updated the bracket with game location and time/date, and corrected the record at that time
  8. Wrong bracket tnf, a new one has been posted. This one has Pewitt at 8-2 in error and they are 9-1. It is fixed on the new bracket though
  9. Their top RB has over 1,850 yards rushing and 30 td's on the season. I have heard they can pass, but they definitely feed the ball to #4 a lot.
  10. Good for the guy you know that's going to watch someone else play...maybe he should take some more with him when he goes.
