  1. I believe in the US the pre-war Nazi movement was called the German-American Bund. It was a relatively small (but noisy) minority and never achieved mainstream status. Nazism was pretty wide spread in Europe outside of Germany.
  2. Crazy thing about Hitler is that if he had retired in 1938 he would be remembered as one of the greatest leaders in history. Of course, when you launch a world war that kills 55 million and try to exterminate entire groups of people (Jews, gypsies, homosexuals etc) it kind of ruins your legacy.
  3. Insurance is so expensive in America because healthcare is so expensive in America. Not to mention that when you give "for profit" businesses control over a product that people have no choice but to buy (regardless of cost) those businesses have no incentive to keep costs down. No "for profit" business ever does anything for the benefit of the customer.
  4. I did not catch that. I guess that is about as close as you can get to it being "straight from the horses mouth". As a history geek I have often thought about reading Mein Kampf...but honestly I have been to embarassed to buy it lol. I have heard it is poorly written but would have to be a fascinating look into the mind of a mad man.
  5. Lots of good things about this country...our healthcare system is not one of them. https://www.yahoo.com/news/democrats-bill-cover-poor-uninsured-120857855.html
  6. I have read this before. Not sure but I think the Nuremberg laws in Nazi Germany were modeled (to some degree) on the Jim Crow laws in the US.
  7. I doubt there will ever again be secession like happened in 1860-1861 but I can see the possibility of the nation just kind of fragmenting into a hodgepodge of various sects with people seeking out "their own kind" based on politics/culture/religion/race/ethnicity or whatever factor(s) they deem most important. No empire lasts forever.
  8. It takes a hard core fan to stick with the Detroit Lions. Maybe the worst organization in all of sports. I like Dan Campbell but he has an amateurish vibe to me.
  9. I believe in climate change...but that does not mean I am convinced it is caused by man. The last ice age ending was "normal"... but todays drought in the desert of the western US is not?
  10. Cooper Rush is not the first backup QB for the Cowboys to step in and play great. Jason Garrett...Bernie Kosar...Steve Beurlein...and the legendary Clint Longley on Thanksgiving Day against the 'skins. Of course, Clint Longley got ran out of town shortly afterwards for getting in a locker room fight with Captain America...aka Roger Staubach. Hopefully Cooper Rush will not take a page out of Longleys book and go sucker punch Dak lol.
  11. Went on the road and beat a pretty good team in a hostile environment...with a backup QB...with 11 penalties...and with being -2 in turnovers. I dont know how this season will end...but that is the kind of thing championship caliber teams do. Couple more things...Micah Parsons is going to be a superstar...and when Amari Cooper pulled in that deflected pass a bunch of old Vikings fan had flashbacks to the Staubach to Pearson play in 1975 lol.
  12. Any player that believes that can teach the NFL a lesson by turning down all that money and getting a real job. Yeah...we all know that will never happen.
  13. Dang. I guess all I can say is congrats to Mabank.
  14. Im right handed...but my wife and both of our kids are left handed. Bunch of freaks........................
  15. I would have thought you would be happy that I singled out a "dimturd"? There is just no pleasing you
  16. In 2020 pharma spent over $300 million on lobbying. They darn sure did not do it for the benefit of you and I.
  17. Yep. I would love to hear someone explain why allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices is a bad thing.
  18. No agenda. I just know with absolute certainty that the gop will not do anything to help rein in the the obscene cost of meds in America...so Sinema (and Manchin) would decide this issue. Usually repubs receive the lions share of pharma money...but now it is the dems. They know exactly how many votes they have to buy to kill any legislation that would actually benefit people instead of their bottom line. Speaking of Sen Manchin...his daughter was the CEO of Mylan Pharma when they jacked the price of an epipen by 600% over the course of a decade.
  19. There is not enough room here to list every one of our elected officials that have sold them selves for corporate $. Three pharma lobbyest for every member of congress. Think about that.
  20. Sen Sinema is a big part of the reason why. Since being elected in 2018 she has received $466,000 from pharma. They might as well make it official and just put her on their payroll.
  21. Poverty...alcohol and drug addiction...domestic violence...but the National Congress of American Indians is bent out of shape over the tomahawk chop. With friends like that who needs enemies.
  22. Arm Barn? Really? Nutty things like this is why people do not take peta seriously. They need to stick to things that matter...like urging people to be responsible pet owners and get their dogs and cats spayed/neutered.
  23. My two year old grand daughter likes to dance to "Ice Ice Baby" by Vanilla Ice...does that make her a white supremacist? If it matters she also likes to dance to "Cant Touch This" by Hammer lol.
