But we have 5000 times more guns, so we should be murdering people at a rate much higher because without guns we'd have no murder.

The U.S. is almost the same size as the entire continent of Europe, but we have a little less than half the population size.  Based on population one would have to count half the countries in Europe as a whole to compare the gun rate deaths.  Gun crime would be higher than the U.S. based on population since they only have 83.15 million vs. 331 million in the U.S.  Take out all of our libnut gun control cities, and the U.S. rate would be extremely low compared to Europe or Germany based on population.
