  1. Looking more and more like this could come down to a battle between these 2 lightweights. Does Spring Hill have any injuries to their players or is Tatum the only team that has injuries? This could definitely be a factor in who loses the goose egg first. Sabine has had multiple injuries this year but we've tried not to go out of our way to make this the focus of our season. Fortunately, we have gotten some of them back. Hard to believe that Sabine has more wins than Tatum but as the saying goes...it is what it is. Good luck to the Panthers and the Eagles in their last 4 games and may the best team lose the goose egg first.
  2. Does Tatum lose the goose egg this week vs. a weak Hardin Jefferson team or does it come down to the showdown with Spring Hill?
  3. As far as injuries go, how did Daingerfield hold up playing against all those larger classification schools? I know the QB, Allen, was on crutches during the Gilmer game and several others looked to be out as well. If they are healthy, I think they will make noise in Region 2. If not, same as last year.
  4. Spring Hill plays Hughes Springs this week and Tatum plays Chapel Hill. Is this the week that the Panthers or Eagles finally get the goose egg out of the win column or will it be decided in their head to head match up?
  5. Is the Allen kid hurt? I thought he played QB for Daingerfield.
  6. 1A-4A Break into Division I & II but only do a top 5 for each instead of top 10 5A-6A Do not break into divisions because of the fewer number of teams in the Smoaky.com area. Only do a top 5 for each of these 2 divisions
  7. Is the state tournament in Easton?
  8. True. And then sometimes the other team is just better.
  9. Longview/Tatum game seems very low scoring for an OT game. Is Tatum not an uptempo team anymore?
  10. ACT is normally over around noon. Did they take it in Jamaica?????????
  11. According to the AP poll, 3 of the top 4 teams in Class 3A are D2 schools (Cisco, Franklin, Corrigan-Camden) and that doesn't include Waskom at #9 or Newton. I would think that the argument could be made that 3A D2 is stronger than 3A D1 this year and that any of these D2 schools would be favored to win Region II Division 1. I don't think the assumption that being D2 helps the cause holds water this year, my man.
  12. Assumption. Please stick to facts.
  13. Sabine has a better district record than Tatum.
  14. Why is football split into Division I and Division II while the other sports are not? Whatever the reason, at least mathematically, the odds of your school winning state in football is better than any other sport because of the split in the classifications. I know there are good teams in all divisions but if you are a "big" Division II team or a "big" Division I school then I think that is where you would have an advantage, and it is generally, "easier" to win on a consistent basis than if you are a low enrollment school in each division. For example, when Sabine dropped down to the old 2A several years ago, shouldn't we expect to do better in football than we did as a small old 3A? I know it hasn't happen as far as the win/loss column but I do think we have been more competitive on the scoreboard and the drop in classification is the main reason.
  15. Went by there today and they did not have it yet, according to the salesperson and I did not see it in the sports section of the magazines though there were plenty of DCTF. I have bought it there in the past. You bought it there this year?
  16. More possessions, more points. Fast tempo offenses go "3 and out" a lot faster than slow tempo offenses.
  17. I thought it was a great day to be a Teague Lion?
