regaleagle
You notice that LV runs their offense from the shotgun......a running team. It buys the qb time and lets him read the D better before giving the ball off or keeping it. He can very easily pass from this set also.
TCU44
La Vega 38 Paris 20 Final La Vega will move on to play the Celina Bobcats next week. 1
regaleagle
Good season for Paris......but just too many mistakes as a team and not enough balance in their offense against quality teams. Great effort and some players playing both ways. They have some talent on their team......but just not enough tonight against this La Vega juggernaut offense and defense. regaleagle
Congrats are in order for the La Vega Pirates on a very quality performance tonight. They kept the Paris D on the field most of the game and wore down the Paris D in the 2nd half.
regaleagle
You have to give the LV defense alot of the credit for this win.......they made it possible to give LV many more opportunities to score than Paris had and prevented Paris from moving the chains and extending possessions. bluetopper
Paris lived all season by the many big play long breakaway runs, they just weren't available tonight. Looked like to me LV outweighed Paris 20 lbs. per man.

That's funny you say that. That is exactly how I would describe the 2007 Liberty Hill team, when they played Gilmer.

Yeah they did......that RB Walton and their QB Rawls are both quick, nimble and very good in tight space......they are slashers. In the open field Walton has great speed. He showed it several times in this game.
regaleagle
Argyle has a similar RB as Walton......speedy, good in tight spaces, and very quick. Tito Byce # 9(5-10, 175/Soph) 1485 yds. 25 TD's. Keep an eye on this guy......you won't be able to miss him.
Parisian
I'd give the edge to La Vega if they don't have excessive turnovers and penalties. It's a neutral location this time in the rematch.
MattStepp
LaVega and Paris speed wise were about the same..the difference in the game was depth and play in the trenches..LaVega's 2 DT's messed up the Paris misdirection game all night long...Paris could not block those guys...so anytime Savage went back to pass he was back peddling or had a guy in his face....when your interior DL are getting that kind of push it's going to mess any offense up....the LaVega OL eventually wore Paris down....Richards is built like a truck and Walton is as quick to the hole as I've seen all year.... #10 and #11 on the LaVega defense are erasers in the back seven if a mistake is made those two are quick to clean it up....
