And exactly how reliable are your sources?

I can promise you that they aren't Youtube, X, or anonymous if they aren't affiliated with an actual news organization or some form of journalism, or an actual government agency.

That doesn't answer the question. Nice dodge, though.

I really hope you don't let your students answer questions in that fashion.

Are you denying the production numbers? Your blind hostility makes you goofy.

Production numbers don't tell the full story ..... Crude oil prices have almost doubled since Plugs took office and prices at the pump have soared as well ... Plugs has been groveling at the feet of Saudi Arabia and the oil cartel begging them to increase production .... If Plugs is forcing electric vehicles on everybody, why is he trying desperately to increase production .... it doesn't make sense unless he knows his electric vehicle debacle is doomed to failure ....

You do understand that production was shut down, due to low demand during the throes of COVID, with oil prices actually going under during Trump's time, and that the economy had slowed to a crawl during 2020. Once we reopened our economy, demand steadily climbed, and with supply not completely in line, there was a natural increase. Do you really need a lecture on supply and demand?

Groveling is letting Saudi Arabia get away with the murder of a journalist, like the Trump administration did.

Let's look at numbers.....Boring, I know.

Average Price of Crude Oil in the following years.

2012--111.63 a barrel

2013--108.56 a barrel

2014--98.97 a barrel

2015--52.32 a barrel

2016--43.67 a barrel

2017--54.25 a barrel

2018--71.34 a barrel

2019--64.30 a barrel

2020--41.96 a barrel

2021--70.86 a barrel

2022--100.93 a barrel

2023--82.49 a barrel

2024--81.80 a barrel

Just looking at the following article and knowing that this administration dropped 180 million barrels from the strategic oil reserve in March of 2022. Of Oil that was already in the surplus, even if we go back 10 years of supplying to Strategic Reserves......the average cost of a barrel of oil would have been $71.79 a barrel Multiplied by 180 million barrels, cost the taxpayers $12,922,200,000.

Today, the administration is saying they are replacing that oil reserve of 180 million barrels at today's prices......so at today's AVERAGE price of a barrel, that is $81.80 a barrel, or basically $10 more a barrel. Bringing the cost to taxpayers to $14,724,000,000. or a difference of $1,801,800,000.

Now I understand the need for strategic reserves.....and to hope to purchase them at a cheap price, while this nation is already $33 trillion in debt, we are wasting close to $2 trillion more to replenish our reserves, when we could have continued to drill, opened up new lands to drilling, and eased policies to never have sold our reserves and saved the government $2 trillion dollars. On top of the inflation that it has caused throughout the country. Greed or Policies.....they help each other out.

So by your logic I’d assume that you would agree that the high prices are Trump’s fault since he’s the one that got Saudi Arabia to decrease production.

The production numbers are there, but most of it is and was being sold off to foreign countries including his beloved China.  That doesn't help Americans at home.  He doesn't want Americans to have cheaper gas prices as proved by Retiredfan1's meme.  He wants Americans to go green.  That's what you're forgetting with your blind devotion to Biden and his ilk.

We didn't need Saudi oil because we were able to purchase our own oil instead of selling it to foreign countries.  We were energy independent under the FANTASTIC leadership of President Trump.  Now look where Americans are under the leadership of Biden.  This is what inflation has led to :  Credit scores fall for the first time in a decade as Americans struggle to pay their bills (nypost.com)

Yet again, Trump got the Saudi's to decrease production so prices would rise.  Low gas prices are not good for the oil industry that ya'll claim to love so much.  Try to keep up.

I'm gonna need some proof of the ignorance you are spouting Mr Robinson because I'm not gonna believe it just because you say it is so.  Here's an interesting read from a source that is not exactly left leaning. https://www.forbes.com/sites/rrapier/2023/05/02/us-energy-independence-soars-to-highest-levels-in-over-70-years/?sh=6b420d9f977f
