Freshmen did shine...QB was very polished as well as receivers...especially this early... I was impressed...don't forget, every 5 years

Gilmer probably has the easiest route because there aren't too many great D2 teams. However, they win every five years so 2019 . (2004 , 2009, 2014) .... Also had State Final appearance in 2012 & 2016

What a game it was...fast & lasted forever Our new varsity QB, Poppy Brown went 37 of 47 for 577 yds & 6TD's for a 4A State Record that lasted for 24 hrs. Bested by Chase Allison of Robinson who went for 580 yds.

It has been ...why would it not be when he had 5,000+ yds last year passing...Oh wait...that would be Poppy, Gilmer's QB

S2S has 7-4A the hardest district in State - Pleasant Grove, Gladewater, S. Hill, Atlanta & Pitt Gotta get there thru Liberty Eylau, Center, Argyle, Carthage & Nacogdoches Weakest team we got is Carthage

They will be totally demoralized before you get there...we get 'em the week before

& bring your best Skunk Repellent...we turn 'em loose on occasion The Visitor restroom is very similar to Kilgore's...tell the little lady to take care of business before you leave & don't drink a lot...the Men's has a nice trough...& parking is an issue...wear hiking boots

Yep...Soph...Hispanic League...average mid-20 years old...something else...all 6 have Hispanic sir names...something new for us...big & fast...normally fast...his brother was All State his Sr. year...5'9"185# Def. Tackle...he was awesome...as they say...fruit doesn't fall far from the tree...heard one coach say they were gonna work him as inside linebacker to start & see...he would always tell me he wanted to play the trombone in the band...I asked him what his favorite part playing football...he grinned & said "hearing a bone break"...he reminds me of Dick Butkus (I'm dating myself)
