slapphappy
Not impressed with Kilgore. They are way over rated. There was no ground game and they were very soft for there size. Passing game was very patchy. Bullard was impressive for there size. Turnovers lost the game for the Panthers. The player for Kilgore that stood over the hurt Bullard player yelling and jumping should have been tossed. No class to be found anywhere for the Bulldogs as usual. 24sports7
I agree with slaphappy....for the number of players, their size, etc.that Kilgore had in relation to Bullard the score should not have been this close. Â This could be attributed to the effort that the Panthers gave though. Â Bullard moved the ball better than the final score indicated. Â IMO, if Kilgore doesn't better in a hurry, they are going to have a lot of trouble staying with Henderson and maybe Gilmer, too.

bullard's lines are very very well coached. kilgore is good. very deep. bullards defense is very fast and very stingy an wrap up well. the last 10 mins of the game kilgore wore them down and got a few big breaks to give them the 2 score win. niether team was better than the other in my opinion. bullard's 88 and kilgore's 3 are outstanding. no other way to put it. kilgore was a little agressive but paid the price in penilties. although the bulldogs won't agree i thought the calls were good. fyi bullard only had 2 flags thrown on them the whole time. AWM
the bottom line is Kilgore 27 Bullard 14. to say their overated or soft is stupid , they held them to 14 points while scoring 27 . That being said their qb is one bad boy. 56 and 42 on defense are second to none , they are the reason we didn't run the ball so well.
KildogDad
Bullard is a good football team. The defense did a good job containing our run game for the most part. Very good tackling, too. The Bulldogs D stood tall when needed. Dumb penalties by #15 on Bullard's opening drive, which led Bullard 's first score and by #44 late in the game. Middle
No class to be found anywhere for the Bulldogs as usual. Â Kind of a unfounded and unnecessary comment, don't you think? Â Great game to both teams. Should be interesting to see how they fair in the rest of district play.

KildogDad
THE DISTRICT OF DOOM IS DEAD. How do you figure? Of the four teams picked to fight it out for the district title, 3 are unbeaten after week two. Gilbert/Henderson should make the picture a little clearer......okay, probably not. Aggie98
Bullard was solid. What they lacked in size they made up for with technique and tenacity. Good team speed. Kilgore's size and depth finally wore them down in the trenches, IMO. Kilgore needed to be tested and Bullard did that. I will definitely be pulling for them to get a playoff spot. Eagleborn
umm look it up just saying...... Â Don't have to. Â 16-3A teams have two more state titles then 9-2ADI teams.. amb4tu
Kigore held Bullards best running back to 4 yds on 7 carries. Also they held an offense that been averaging 258 yds on the ground to only 41 rushiing. Also the defense forced two interceptions, something Bullard had not done all year. For KIlgore, there rushing attack pounded out 224 yds on 40 attempts. Bullard only had 157 yds of total offense. I would say this was a pretty good job of offense and defense against a 4-0 team that had been averaging about 405 yds a game.
