playactionpass39
A 7-5 record and a Bowl Game would be a huge first season for Morris and the Hogs. I would not say beating aTm is Arkansas' Super Bowl, but it will be a big game for both first year coaches when it comes to recruiting.

Miss St 6. Ole Miss 5. Texas A&M 4. Auburn 3. LSU 2. Arkansas 1. Alabama If they can pull that off... or anywhere 4th and up, they will be extremely happy in Hog World... Beating the Mississippi schools and aTm would be huge and enough to make the first year a success. Beating LSU and the fighting Malzahan's might be asking too much in year one. Beating Alabama is at least 3 years down the road.

MrBuddyGarrity
A favorable schedule could see the Razorbacks' return to a bowl game in Chad Morris' first season writes @TylerWyattWins. https://t.co/7x7HlvAHzK
MrBuddyGarrity
Speed is top recruiting priority, but here’s what else Arkansas needs #WPS https://t.co/KZUOyveYA6 https://t.co/3xpur57pOr A good breakdown here. Hope he's able to bring those WRs in.

Hope he's able to bring those WRs in. Increased speed will always be a priority with a Morris coached team. From everything I have read, the WR group will be more than adequate for year one. There may not be an abundance of BIG receivers (6'4 or taller), but this position group will not hold back the passing game. QB play and protection will be the key to Arkansas improving in the passing game.

JustAFan11
The running game looked solid from what I saw. The qbs need more time to get the passing game down.

Nah, Storey is the projected starter as of now, but personally I think Noland might come in and steal that position in the Fall, or at least nab the backup role. You know I respect your football knowledge, but Storey will not be the starter, and if he is we are in trouble. His decision making process is still stuck in small town Arkansas mode and he has been on the hill for 3 years. He can't read defenses and he can't make quick decisions. No way Noland or John Stephen will be any where near ready for SEC play next year. Kelly or Dalton Hyatt will be the QB. Overall I was pleased with both the offense and the defense. Receivers were better and the running game looked good. Pass rush was significantly improved and Kurl is a much better Safety than he was a Corner. I don't think Storey will be the starter either but Coach Morris says he is as of right now (going into the Spring game). Maybe he sees something Kelley doesn't have, I don't know. As far as Noland the same offense he ran at Greenwood is basically the same one Morris runs so mentally he'll be okay, physically is another story. Hyatt is a wildcard IMO. I understand, and Storey has all the tools (arm strength is average) to be the starter, but he is a slow processor and does not make decisions quick enough for this offense to be successful in the SEC. Kelley is the most talented, but his maturity and leadership abilities have definitely be called into question. Hyatt needs to mature and he needs to find the weight room, he looked like the least physically developed of the group Saturday, but he also looked like the most gifted. Yes Noland ran a similar offense in high school, but Greenwood High and the SEC are two entirely different animals. Noland will have the arm talent to play immediately, but he is not big enough or strong enough to take the hits that would come with being a Freshman QB in the SEC, he is not Jalen Hurts (no 600 lb. squat, 300 lb. bench press). On the other hand, the RB corps looked great. Devwah looked better than he has since he left Central, Maleek Williams looked like the real deal (redshirt Freshman) and the 2,000 yard JUCO transfer is not even in the mix yet. Chase Hayden and TJ Hammon will also contribute as scat backs. TE's were good, and will be great in this offense. WR's were better than I expected, they have made some serious improvements and will do nothing but get better with the return of Jared Cornelius. Michael Woods (Freshman early enrolee from Magnolia, TX) looked like a game changer.

Jet Sweep King didnt wanna develop him.

Red90fly
I'm assuming Chief is switching to a 4-man front. Is McTelvin Agim ( sp? ) playing DT or DE?

Sosa will play both. He will be a DE on 1st and 2nd downs and move to DT in pass rushing situations. Randy Ramsey may turn into a great pass rush specialist, but he is not a run stopper.
Tex85
morris said storey had a better start to spring than Kelley but Kelley has progressed better the past couple of weeks than storey who pretty much plateaued. i haven't watched much of the spring game yet but i did like the run game and kelley made a couple throws that looked really good. I just don't think storey has the tools for division 1 much less the sec. he's completing less than 50% in practice against our young and learning defense, I know Kelley's completion percentage isn't great but they can work with that arm he's got. the qb competition is far from over. noland reports at the end of may so that gives him some time to hit the weights ( i saw a video of him from a couple weeks ago and hes not skinny by any mean) and film. not sure about jones, i enjoyed watching him at hp but i think he sits for at least a couple of years.
