Harmony is open

Harmony will have talent coming in from the jr high but it’ll be a few years until those kids are ready. The freshman class is pretty good and it’s a big class

The girls athletics is set up to win sooner but schools don’t hire ADs for girls sports.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a hire from within here.

EB looks like just a lateral move, must not be a lot coming up for Harmony.

East Bernard is a pretty consistent winner in football, much more consistent than Harmony has been long-term....and apparently EB has some really good groups coming up

Jenkins chasing the wins, more focused on his record than anything. I feel sorry for the kids at EB

Regardless of what you think of coach prime he hit the mail on the head when he said in this profession you either move on while you can or stay long enough to get replaced. Something like that….. can’t fault the guy for reading the handwriting on the wall and getting out of a situation on his own terms.

You obviously never coached before. College and High School are different especially the lower classifications. You are there to build relationships, mold young men and help them succeed. Harmony is a placed that coaches want to stay, not leave or get forced out. Harmony may not go to the semifinals again anytime soon but they will be competitive every year.

Yes, was very terrible for Harmony winning all those games. Feel bad if EB kids have a similar experience.

Harmony will still compete for the DC in that cake district they got put into the next two years, but that does not mean they are good.

The last guy literally got forced out lol.
Just because you and your buddies coach the Harmony team in the Gilmer Little League doesn’t mean you know what it’s like to be a coach in real life buddy.

Most successful coach in school history by both wins AND the character/ relationship building Ghost was talking about. There are few people that are more respected in the coaching profession than Russel. Considered a high character guy. Had almost every kid in high school athletics, was considered a great boss and had low turnover. Everyone knows he got forced out because of some selfish parents. Hey they got what they wanted Jenkins did well with that group and now they are gone and so is he.

I will never blame a coach for doing what he thinks is best for his family and career. High school coaches are always considered outsiders, and parents will always put their kids over a coach's family, or other kids in the program. Jenkins has gone 1 year, 2 years, 2 years at schools, but has gotten to leave on his own accord and done well at all. Russel invested 15 years at Harmony, called a place home and got mobbed out anyway.
