Of course climate change is real.  I’ve notched one day over 95 so far this summer.  10 years ago we 100 straight over 100.  The lefty coast is seeing 100 degrees now which is waaayyy above their typical averages.  On the flip side we’ve had negative temps in Texas the last two years.  The funny thing is the scientist quit calling it global warming because the numbers weren’t supporting their claim the last few years.  Climate change has been around, it’s just not as scary as “global warming” to people.

You’re 100% correct, the climate has been fluctuating for thousands of years and for folks who make “climate change activism” their religion it doesn’t matter we’ve only actually been tracking the earth’s climate for about 100 years with real data.

We basically understand what the climate was way back when, but we don’t know exactly what happened.

Greta needs to calm down and go attack China, India and Russia; America is doing its part to be pretty clean already.

I am all for protecting our environment. I love to trout fish in Colorado in the summer and snow ski in the winter. 
We like the beautiful waters of the gulf along Alabama and Florida shores, but quit with the constant drum beat and how we have to kill our economy to make changes when the changes we make even as an entire species across the globe won’t make a change in what the climate of the earth is.

So, get off of the USA, go peddle the pitch to others.

But everyone knows that the climate changes, has been from the beginning of time. Does man make it change a little quicker--probably--but shouldn't destroy our economy to save the world, when the rest of the world does NOT give a DARN.

We are in the midst of one of the mildest summers I've experienced in Texas.  We had our annual decade 10 degree weather.  We still set record lows in the winter, and record highs are still on the books from the late 1800's when they began keeping records.

Walking to work, recycling, planting trees, supporting Democratic policies that address issues like land use and methane regulation. I couldn't find a Tim Pool video about it, so sorry my choice came across as lecturing.

Now, do you think the government should mandate some of those other things? Some of us, back when things were open, didn't have the luxury of being able to walk to work. Of course, I've been working remotely for over a year, so I guess I "walk to work", too, just by walking across my house.

Do you, personally, plant trees? I mean, are you out in a park somewhere with trees and a shovel? Or do you give money to organizations that do it?

How much of a damn do you honestly believe China, India, Russia & Korea give about climate control? We all breathe the same atmosphere, Barry... Oh also, do you think volcanoes contribute to the Climate when they erupt, (or even Before they erupt!) spewing CO2, SO2, H2S into our atmosphere?

we have been taking steps.  That’s why there’s an EPA, TCEQ, etc….  All of which are good at overspending and wasting govt funds to get a job done

Continuing further with this train of thought... everything I said above should indicate to you, Barry that I am not a “climate change denier “ as you put it; but instead someone who “points fingers at other countries.” 
As I stated, accurately; We all breath the same air, & even IF we as Americans somehow cut back on our emissions, those countries I listed won’t, & therefore nothing will change.

Count me as a skeptic. Why was the last ice age "normal"...but any climate changes today are man made? Why was the dust bowl drought of the 1930s normal...but any climate changes today are man made? If the western US is experiencing the worst drought in 1200 years...and it is caused by man...why was there such a drought 1200 years ago? The list goes on and on. These seem like reasonable questions when the "answer" to climate change involves radically altering our lives...oh, and trillions of dollars.

It wasn't 'normal'. It was a result of drought but more so terrible farming practices, which were corrected over the years after it occurred.
