Two A Day Numbers

Barker told me just right around 70 turned out 10th-12th grade. Lowest total I think I've ever seen for a Tatum freshman team - just 16.

Is that a down class or just a light class?

As an example, Cameron had around 40 kids on their freshmen team last year to begin workouts. This year's freshmen team has about 22. However, this year's freshmen team has more talent and I believe will have more impact players when varsity play comes around.

Realistically, I think you want 10-15 solid seniors each year for small schools.

A rough estimate of impact seniors since 2010,

2015: 14

2014: 7

2013: 14

2012: 13

2011: 4-5

2010: 17-18

And as you can tell, 2011 was our "down" year or the only year we did not at least play for state. We played Tatum tough that year, but the offense was just not ready with so many underclassmen. Did not help that our top potential prospect to ever come through the program was out.

I project about 12 impact seniors in 2016 and then around 13-14 in 2017.
