  2. Do you realize that you have to have a valid ID for almost everything especially if you are receiving government aid ? Try to apply for any State or Federal program that enables the poor, and to receive those benefits one must have an ID. I'm sure there are some people that live in rural areas that live off the land, but if they have no cars how are they able to go to polling stations ? In the State of Texas if one is destitute or poor they still have the ability to obtain an ID at a low cost or even for free. Your argument doesn't hold any water in the State of Texas. https://www.texastribune.org/2013/06/25/dps-begin-offering-free-voter-id-cards-week/

  3. The Paradigm of Change: Whether you change jobs, change offenses, change defenses, or change personnel, the reality is real. When you are standing on the top on one mountain, and look over and want to get to the next mountain - which happens to be very much higher than the one you are standing on - then when you start your journey to get there there's a pretty good chance that you're going to encounter a VALLEY in between. How deep and wide that VALLEY IS ultimately depends upon a lot of factors – both tangible and intangible – some within your control and some not. Regardless, there is one thing that is for certain: to reach your goal of getting to the next mountain level, you will have spend some time journeying DOWNWARD before you get to begin your trek upward. And it can sometimes take time before techniques, mindset, and skills evolve from adaptive to habitual. In reality, no matter who are where you are at any given time or place, the road to success ALWAYS runs UPHILL – if not, anyone could get there and it would mean virtually nothing … And the only comfortable alternative is to stay and be happy with who you are, what you are, and where you are. But if you plan to be better than you are now, then you're probably going to have to be willing to do something better than what you are doing. No one ever said it would be easy, they just said it would be worth it in the end. In the real world, I'm sure eagles would find it be much easier to nest on the ground or on the lowest branches of the forest - but instead they chose to build their nests in the very top of the tallest trees and rockiest mountains. They do this despite the fact that, as a result, their nest must be built infinitely stronger to withstand the stress and strain when the strong storm winds begin to blow. Then why co they do it? Because they would rather soar in the sky than just perch on a limb with most of the rest of the birds. Good luck to those that change their addresses ... I'm afraid it's part of the coaching DNA ... and God bless their families who have their backs.

  6. I think we could see some interesting things in 5A D2. Lindale is dropping down to 4A Div I Texas High is dropping down to 5A Div II But.... these schools could affect things: Crandall is dropping to 5A Div II Kaufman is dropping down to 4A Div I Mesquite Poteet is dropping to 5A Div II Carrollton Creekview is dropping to 5A Div II Prosper Rock Hill will be in 5A Div II Of course there is Ennis and Corsi in 5A Div II DISD will have a 5A Div II district of it's own (Adamson, Conrad, Jefferson, Kimball, SOC, Spruce) BUT..... Justin Northwest, Midlothian, Road Oak, Frisco Reedy, and Royse City are all leaving 5A Div I and moving up to D1. Potential 5A Div II schools that could end up in East Texas Districts: Crandall Mesquite Poteet Carrollton Creekview Rock Hill Ennis Corsicana North Forney Terrell Forney Texas High Mount Pleasant Sulphur Springs Marshall Hallsville Pine Tree Whitehouse Jacksonville Nacogdoches

  9. So my initial thoughts just based off of dividing them equally based off geography would be something like this without including Lone Oak or Edgewood. Hooks Dekalb Redwater Queen City Paul Pewitt Daingerfield Hughes Springs Waskom EF Harleton West Rusk Arp New Diana Ore City Grand Saline Alba Golden Harmony Winona Frankston Quitman Troup

  12. So, then, what exactly is wrong with having a mechanism in place to make sure thst votes aren't "found", and that only those who are eligible to vote are allowed to? And that they can only do so once per election?

  13. This "should" be a very good game. This is the best team the Buckeyes have fielded in at least the last three matchups. I think the Buckeyes have a very real chance at beating the Hawks, especially if they correct the blown coverages on defense, and don't turn the ball over three times. As a Buckeye fan, it's high time we take back our spot as the perennial bEast Texas region representative. Go Buckeyes! REFUSE TO LOSE!

  15. I guess you didn't watch the video. All 5:29 seconds, although the last 15 seconds were asking for money. You probably think the same way as the rest of the democratic party, that voter ID keeps people from voting. According to the research, done by the US census bureau it hasn't, but that is against your narrative, which means you degrade the way it was presented, just as you do with every other news article. Such an open minded person you are. SMFH.

  18. That's why he didn't go to Temple, his alma mater, last year. We pay almost as much. He has job security (no worries of his HC getting fired and him going down with the ship), has good recruiting, coaching under a darn good HC, etc. I'm surprised we've kept him. He had incredible results at Notre Dame but left them so quickly. I worried he'd leave us quickly too.

  20. with Bryan Harsin (Boise) getting attention for bigger jobs again, the talk has been that Peterson would go back to Boise State. he was happy there...the size school, opportunity to knock the bigs off, and money not being as important to him as happiness and locale.

  22. So Longview, Lufkin and John Tyler are the lone 5A D1 schools. Longview and John Tyler will no doubt be paired together. Lufkin stays south. So who comes into Longview/John Tyler's district? North Forney and Royse City have both moved up to 5A D1. I have yet to see a Wylie East enrollment for this snapshot. They turned in 1906 for this last go around, so I'm going to base them being in 5A D1 off that. West Mesquite almost undoubtedly will be in our district. If Forney and Mesquite Poteet opt up, that could possibly be the district (Longview, John Tyler, North Forney, Royse City, Wylie East, West Mesquite, Forney and Mesquite Poteet). Maybe they sent us more to the DFW south though, like Stepp predicted with Red Oak and Midlothian replacing Royse City and Wylie East. There's a ton of possibilities really. McKinney North and Sherman are both in 5A D1 as well, so have to keep an eye on them.

  23. 2A D2 has the largest "spread" at 57% (165 / 105). # 2 is 5A D2 at 56% (1899 / 1210). 5A D2 only has a 16% spread (2219 / 1900). Thanks to all the metroplex schools and Houston area (EX: Frisco) keeping their enrollments at certain levels, it creates a major disadvantage to East Texas School in 5A D2. This is why I've been saying for a long time, you will not see a 5A D2 state champion in a long time Lindale drops so East Texas 5A gets a shakeup with T High coming down to D2

  26. Took 'em long enough. Kid is the perfect beast for college football. Extremely intelligent and hard-working. Comes from an excellent family where honor and self-discipline was instilled at a young age. As good as he is right now, he's nowhere near his potential. Big XII coaches are gonna regret overlooking him.

  29. Yeah, gotta agree with this. A&M has, thus far, demonstrated a willingness to throw money around. If I'm Elko I might try to leverage BC into a pay bump, but I wouldn't go anywhere. He's got a great situation.

  30. Daingerfield--9 State Title appearances and 6 state championships--very impressive. Pewitt--3 state title appearances and 1 state championship--also impressive. It is so hard to get to the final game. Whoever wins this game will probably be playing at ATT on December 19th--It just seems like it's that kind of year for one of these two teams. Script will be flipped in this one! Pewitt 34 Daingerfield 28

  39. Be disappointed in the loss. Take a deep breath and remember “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” Lot can change between now and Early Signing Day and heck of a lot before National Signing Day but Jimbo is looking at a second straight top 10 class. If he can stack Top 10 classes, the talent gap should shrink. Swap out Packerland for Aggieland and I think this fits. 2 years in to a 10 year plan. Relax.
